This is painted from high up on the North Ridge of Tryfan looking down steeply to Llyn Ogwen and the A5 trunk road as it makes its way towards Holyhead

and it goes back to the days when my main subject matter was the coast and local area

Between the two estuaries lies the Portmeirion headland

It is a pleasant spot to sit for a while before exploring the rest of the woodland.
