五十年代初發展至八、九十年代，一直是香港電影的黃金盛世，然而這一切都不是憑空出現，這都有賴三十年代初不少電影人積極發展，才令香港電影業有足夠的人才和技術邁向輝煌的境地。 「睇戲喇喂」自2017起成立，集合了一群對香港戰前電影歷史感興趣的年輕人，以短篇形式不定期於社交網絡上發佈有關香港戰前電影的歷史、趣聞、個人見解等，希望令更多讀者認識香港電影的發展。2019年，睇戲喇喂得到黃愛玲基金的資助，首次由年輕作者主導出版一本記述戰前香港電影發展的書――《迴盪戰前銀光夢》。 《迴盪戰前銀光夢》的文章查找了不少一手歷史資料，並把戰前的香港電影簡分為四個範疇：電影製作公司、放映、片種類型和電影工作者，深入淺出地探討香港戰前的電影業發展，即使是初次接觸的讀者也不會感到艱澀乏味，務求令讀者能以更全面的角度認識這一段充滿神秘感的電影歷史。
