So when the study is completed, it appears the patients blood pressure of 130/80 was the cause of the patients heart failure or stroke but in reality, their true BP of 140/85 [which was, of course, never discovered because of patient measurement error], was responsible for the poor outcome, which would have been a much more expected result for that BP.
